The TEXPERS Pension Observer brings member news, practical insight and the people shaping secure retirement for Texas public servants into one quarterly publication.

Two ways to contribute

Editorial space is reserved for TEXPERS member systems and professional members. Choose the format that fits what you have to share.

01

UpFront

News that keeps members informed

Submit member news, industry developments, events, milestones and timely announcements.

  • 150 words for a brief
  • Up to 600 words for short articles or press releases
  • Longer pieces require the author’s name, title, two- to three-sentence professional bio and a high-resolution photo

Press releases may be rewritten to meet editorial standards. TEXPERS may follow up for additional context or quotes.

02

Best Practices

Useful insight—without the sales pitch

Professional members may share practical guidance, informed analysis and actionable tips for public pension leaders.

  • 1,000 words maximum, including sources, notices and legal disclaimers
  • No marketing, product promotion or sales language
  • Include the author’s name, title and two- to three-sentence professional bio
  • Original content created for Pension Observer is preferred
